NZMHA member Gail Simmons of Stoney Oaks Wildlife Park near Inglewood in Taranaki took her Miniature Horse "Cody" walkabout on the main street of New Plymouth collecting for Child Cancer.
He proved very popular with the shopping public and Cody along with Gail and supporter Diana raised move than $1,200.00 for what is a very worthy cause.
They managed to raise more than $1,100.00 doing the same thing the previous year.
Well Done - Its great to see Miniatures being used for purposes such as this!

NZMHA was represented at the recent Miniature Horse Expo held by one of NZMHA's Affiliated Clubs, Metropolitan Miniature Horse Club, at the North Shore Events Centre. The expo was an outstanding success with there frequently being very little room to move within the venue. The range of exhibitors included horse float manufacturers, horse equipment resellers (halters, covers, clippers etc.) and Miniature Horse Studs. The demonstrations proved particularly popular with the public. The event was very positive and a great promotional opportunity for the Miniature Horse in New Zealand - Our congratulations to the Organisers. |
